Accessibility statement

Our commitment

At Flexway Realty LLC we want everyone to be able to use this site: to navigate with the keyboard alone, to hear the content with a screen reader, to enlarge the text, or to reduce motion. Housing information should be within everyone's reach on equal terms, consistent with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Housing Act.

We designed and built the site with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, from the W3C. This page is a layer of honesty: it tells you what is already done and what isn't yet — without overstating.

What we've already done

Skip to content: every page opens with a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.

Full keyboard operability: you can move through the menus, the language switcher (ES/EN/PT), the mobile menu, the contact assistant, the payment calculator and the currency converter using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter and Escape — without getting trapped in any component.

Visible focus: every interactive element shows a high-contrast gold outline when it receives keyboard focus.

Reduced motion: if your system has “reduce motion” enabled, the scroll animations, the animated map and the diagrams render statically; nothing flashes or slides.

Contrast-checked palette: the “Ivory & Gold” system was reviewed to meet AA contrast (4.5:1 for text). The label text on maps and diagrams was checked specifically above that threshold.

Images with alt text: informative photos carry a description; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology with aria-hidden so they don't add noise.

Labeled, announced forms: every field has a label. The contact assistant uses radio-group semantics and announces each step through an aria-live region.

Alternatives to visual content: the investment-areas map includes a keyboard-accessible “List” view; the infrastructure corridor maps are a visual aid, and the same information appears on the page as dated, sourced text.

The embedded MLS search has a descriptive title (title attribute), and the heading structure is semantic: a single H1 per page, with no skipped levels.

What isn't solved yet

The property search is a Stellar MLS (Matrix) panel embedded from another domain. Its accessibility depends on that provider and is not under our control; if you need help searching for properties, message us and we'll do it with you.

The interactive maps use third-party tiles (OpenStreetMap / CARTO). That's why the map is a supplement, not the only source: the data is always also present as text on the same page.

We have not yet commissioned an independent, third-party accessibility audit. It's a step still on our list.
