Development radar — Lake County, July 2026
This is the first Development Radar issue for Lake County. The month moved on two fronts: text amendments to the county's development code — certified recovery residences, rural conservation subdivision design standards, and landscape buffer requirements — and land-use filings in the City of Clermont, nearly all tied to the southern U.S. 27 corridor. Every item was verified against its official agenda live: we publish only the ones that resolved and whose status appears verbatim on the agenda, next to the item it describes. Of the fifteen items in this issue's draft, six cleared the gate; the rest were dropped and the reason for each drop is published. **Updated August 6, 2026:** we added the Central Florida Expressway Authority construction agreement. It was dropped on first publication because the draft quoted “approved”, which on the agenda describes the superseded March agreement; its correct verbatim status is “Recommend approval”.
