Development radar — Lake County, September 2026
In September, Lake County's activity centered on the Clermont City Council. The two ordinances for the Louisa Grande subdivision — a future land use change and a rezoning, west of the Hidden Court and US Hwy 27 intersection — appeared on the September 8 agenda labeled Intro and returned on the September 22 agenda labeled Final. That second agenda also listed, as Final, the large-scale Comprehensive Plan amendment and the rezoning for the Hammock Pointe/Reserve subdivision, and the September 8 agenda carried four variance requests for the Green Mountain Subdivision. At the county, the September 22 agenda recommended approval of a Construction, Engineering, and Inspection services contract for Hartwood Marsh between US27 and Majestic Isle Drive. Every item was verified against its official agenda live: we publish only the ones whose status appears verbatim on the agenda, next to the item it describes. All eight items in this issue's draft cleared the gate. An agenda says what was scheduled, not what was decided.
